Introduction

This website is owned and operated by Norfolk Bladers. These Terms set forth the terms and conditions under which you may use our website and services as offered by us, including our in-person events.

This website offers visitors the ability to view event information, view leaderboard data, view event images, create user accounts, purchase event tickets and comment on blog posts. By accessing or using the website of our service, you approve that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these and the following Terms.

Failure to comply with the Terms & Conditions outlined on this page may result in the termination of your account, an account suspension, or permanent access ban ​to our website and events.

Website Use & Requirements

In order to use our website and our services, you must be at least 13 years of age, or of the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, and possess the legal authority, right and freedom to enter into these Terms as a binding agreement. You are not allowed to use this website and/or receive services if doing so is prohibited in your country or under any law or regulation applicable to you.

If you are under 13 years old, you must first obtain explicit permission from a parent or legal guardian in order to sign up to our website. We reserve the right to delete any accounts who are found to have breached these terms.

We may permanently or temporarily terminate or suspend your access to the service without notice and liability for any reason, including if in our sole determination you violate any provision of these Terms or any applicable law or regulations. You may discontinue use and request to cancel your account and/or any services at any time. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the foregoing, with respect to any ticket purchases made on our website, any refunds actioned as a result of an account ban will be made in-line with our refund policy.​

Norfolk Bladers will not be held liable for any public information that you provide on this platform when creating your user account and profile.

Sale of Tickets

Tickets for events are only available via the following:

 

 

  • On the day of our events during registration at the designated venue.  

 

We are not responsible for any tickets and/or subsequent loss incurred from tickets purchased via unauthorised vendors. 

 

When purchasing tickets, you agree that:

(i) you are responsible for reading the full event listing before placing a commitment to buy

(ii) you enter into a legally binding contract to purchase the ticket/s when you commit to buy said ticket/s and you complete the check-out payment process.

(iii) tickets are non-transferrable.

The prices we charge for our tickets are listed on each event. We reserve the right to change our prices for tickets displayed at any time, and to correct pricing errors that may inadvertently occur.

The fee for the services and any other charges you may incur in connection with your use of the service, such as taxes and possible transaction fees, will be charged at the time of payment.

Refund Policy

For any refunds involving tickets purchased through our website for an event, please refer to the following refund policy:

  • Tickets are non-transferrable.

  • Tickets can be refunded up until 24 hours before the scheduled start time of the event for which the ticket has been purchased. Ticket refund requests should be sent via email.

  • Tickets will not be refunded  to anyone who has been dismissed from an event due to unsatisfactory or illegal conduct during or after an in-person event they have attended.  If the unsatisfactory/illegal conduct has been made on our platform or has been brought to our attention by another member of the community, then a refund will be provided and the user's account will be terminated from our platform.

  • A suitable written refund request should be provided detailing clearly the reason for the cancellation.​

  • Refund requests made after an event due to an unsatisfactory experience are not guaranteed a full refund and will only be provided at the discretion of Norfolk Bladers.

  • In the event that an event is postponed or cancelled, you are entitled to a full refund. We will take action on your behalf, however in the case that there is an issue or delay, please contact info@norfolkbladers.co.uk

Retention of Right To Change Offering & Terms

We may, without prior notice, change the services; stop providing the services or any features of the services we offer; or create limits for the services. We may permanently or temporarily terminate or suspend access to the services without notice and liability for any reason, or for no reason.

We reserve the right to modify these terms from time to time at our sole discretion. Therefore, you should review our terms and conditions periodically. When we change the Terms in a material manner, we will notify you that material changes have been made to the Terms. Your continued use of the Website or our service after any such change constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to any of these terms or any future version of the Terms, do not use or access (or continue to access) the website or the service.

Attendance

Only ticket-holders and their parent/legal guardian/carer are permitted to partake in our events. Tickets can be bought in advance on our website or purchased at the event on the day. 

Age Limits

Only participants 8 years and over are allowed to participate at our events. 

 

Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian/carer for the duration of our events.

If the accompanying adult differs from the parent/legal guardian on the registration form, we must be notified prior to events and provided with contact details by sending an email to: info@norfolkbladers.co.uk

 

Attendees under 18 must obtain permission from a legal guardian/parent prior to participating in our events, purchasing tickets and sending any information to Norfolk Bladers (Norfolk Gaming Events Limited T/A Norfolk Bladers).

 

The submission of data during registration, when purchasing tickets and accepting our terms and conditions, is a representation of confirmation that you are aged 18 years or older or have obtained the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

 

If you are the parent or legal guardian of an attendee under the age of 18, it is your responsibility to assess the suitability of our events for the child in your care.

Admission, Safety and Security

Please refer to the Age-Limits section of the Terms and Conditions for further information on who can and cannot partake in our activities.

 

Please arrive in a timely fashion to ensure efficient registration. Norfolk Bladers reserves the right to refuse entry to prospective participants who have failed to arrive at the event at an appropriate time.

 

All attendees must adhere to Norfolk Bladers Anti-Bullying Policy and Code of Conduct. These policies can be found via the following: https://www.norfolkbladers.co.uk/policies 

 

All attendees are expected to adhere to Norfolk Bladers’ safety and security requirements. 

 

All attendees are required to complete the Registration and Consent Form on an annual basis, and upon any material changes made by Norfolk Bladers, to ensure all information provided remains accurate and up to date. All attendees must ensure that these details are correct and contact Norfolk Bladers immediately should any changes arise.

 

Attendees must not partake in canvassing, leafleting, wear offensive apparel or be involved in any activity which may disrupt Norfolk Bladers activities. 

 

Attendees are responsible for their property and staff will not be responsible for any items left unattended. 

 

We do not provide refreshments, we encourage visitors to bring their own snack if necessary and be mindful of common allergens that may affect other participants. 

 

All attendees are expected to behave in a manner so as to respect the safety of others and report any discovered risks or accidents to staff. 

 

Norfolk Bladers reserves the right to deny entry to or remove any visitor or participant from Norfolk Bladers events who in the organiser’s and/or venue’s absolute discretion is behaving or threatening to behave in a manner, or failing to following the rules outlined in the Anti-Bullying Policy, the Code of Conduct and/or the rules outlined in these Terms and Conditions, which the organiser reasonably considers to be objectionable or disruptive to our events.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Norfolk Bladers and its directors harmless from any losses, liabilities, claims or reasonable expenses arising out of your misuse of the website, your participation in any in-person events organised by Norfolk Bladers, or your breach of these Terms.

Norfolk Bladers is not responsible for the actions, statements or conduct of third parties, whether online or at any in-person events organised through the Platform.

You acknowledge that participation in in-person events involves inherent risks, including the risk of illness, injury or other harm. By attending such events, you agree that you do so voluntarily and at your own risk.

Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit the liability of Norfolk Bladers for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, or for any liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Intellectual Property, Copyrights and Logos

The Site and its content are safeguarded by Intellectual Property Rights, including but not limited to copyright and trademarks. For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, "Intellectual Property Rights" refers to patents, database rights, copyright, design rights (registered or unregistered), trademarks (registered or unregistered), and other related rights, as well as the right to seek protection for any of these rights.​

Where materials have been acquired from third parties for use on our site, Norfolk Bladers has gained express permission before use.

You recognise and agree that by uploading any content (including, but not limited to designs, images, animations, videos, audio files, fonts, logos, illustrations, compositions, artworks, interfaces, text and literary works) through any means to the website, you confirm that you own all the relevant rights or received the appropriate license to upload/transfer/send the content. You agree and consent that the uploaded/transferred content may be publicly displayed at the website. You will be held liable for any content uploaded by you to our site that is in breach of copyright law.

Limitation of Liability

Norfolk Bladers and its directors are not liable to you, your dependents or legal representatives for any claim for any indirect or consequential loss or damage, including without limitation personal injury or financial loss or damage, whether such liability arises in breach of contract, tort (including negligence), statute or statutory duty, save that nothing is intended to nor shall limit the liability of Norfolk Bladers in respect of death or personal injury caused by the negligence of Norfolk Bladers or of its directors, agents or contractors, or affect the statutory rights of any person dealing as a consumer.

Promotional Emails & Content

You agree to receive from time to time promotional messages and materials from us, by email. If you don't want to receive such promotional materials or notices – please just notify us at any time.
